With the lip syncing done using markers and waveforms, another step that had to be taken was linking the visuals to the content of the song. For example, the video was cut so that the footage of the actor crawling along the floor was played during the lyrics "crawling back to you". This way there was a clear link between the song and the visuals.

I also made sure to cut to the beat when appropriate, including the trick of timing a door slamming to the same time as the first drum beat. This adds another level of links between the footage and the song, and helps everything seem in-time.
